First Community of Its Kind for Residents in Christian County, Missouri
December 6, 2017, Nixa, MO – The Castlewood Senior Living, the first full continuum of care community in the Nixa area, today celebrated its grand opening at a ribbon cutting, 11:30 a.m., Wednesday, December 6, 1538 N. Old Castle Rd. in Nixa. Already 90 percent occupied, The Castlewood was developed by Springfield-based O’Reilly Development Company, LLC, constructed by Springfield-based O’Reilly Build, LLC, and is professionally managed by Missouri-based Arrow Senior Living.
Speakers at the ribbon cutting included Nixa Mayor Brian Steele and Nixa Chamber of Commerce president Tammy Mast, as well as Denise Heintz, partner and director of operations and development for O’Reilly Development Company, LLC, and Virginia Winfrey, regional executive director for The Castlewood Senior Living.
“The Castlewood is ideally suited for Christian County’s ongoing growth with a variety of living options, amenities, conveniences and technology designed to meet the needs of today’s seniors and tomorrow’s baby boomers,” said Denise Heintz, partner and director of operations and development for O’Reilly Development Company.
The moderately-priced, pet-friendly senior community includes 104 apartments and a wide range of choices. In addition to studio, one- and two-bedroom options for independent living and assisted living, there is a memory care cottage. The range of options creates a full continuum of care community where people can comfortably age in place as their needs change.
Residents are encouraged to enjoy an independent lifestyle. All-day restaurant dining, included at no extra charge, is available from 7 am until 7 pm daily, serving freshly prepared meals selected from a full menu and made-to-order by a highly-skilled culinary team. On-site amenities also include a full-service beauty salon, fitness center, movie theater, indoor pool, and transportation for social outings, as well as for doctor appointments. A full schedule of well-planned programs includes opportunities to enjoy bridge, yoga, and Bible study, as well as educational programs, special events, entertainment, and more.
“The Castlewood is pleased to be located in Nixa, where we are dedicated to providing each of our residents with the highest level of personal care and attention,” said Virginia Winfrey, regional executive director of The Castlewood Senior Living. “Our well-trained team of caring professionals provides customized services and treats everyone like family. Personal wellness meetings, communication with residents’ personal physician, and connecting with other health care providers enables us to provide the quality of care that’s needed and expected to maximize every resident’s sense of independence.”
